Temperatures across New South Wales have plummeted causing early snowfalls across parts of the state as a pool of cold air brought strong winds and heavy rainfall overnight and throughout the morning. Snow was recorded at Yetholme, near Bathurst in the Central Tablelands, and in parts of the Blue Mountains, west of Sydney. Dashcam footage captured the dusting of snow in Blackheath and Mount Victoria, not far from the region's iconic tourist hub of Katoomba, which also saw small amounts of snow and sleet.
