Teenage girl accused of lighting fires less than 24 hours after SA's bushfire emergency

A 13-year-old girl has been arrested for allegedly lighting fires in Adelaide's southern suburbs, less than 24 hours after the state's devastating start to bushfire season.

Police say fires were lit at Burgess Drive at Noarlunga Downs, Goldsmith Drive and Grey Box Ave at Noarlunga Centre just before 11pm on Thursday night.

The police helicopter and dog Axe were called in to assist with the search for the suspect.
