The SA Police Serious Crime Task Force are conducting investigations into aggravated robberies on gaming rooms in licensed venues.
There are 26 incidents that have occurred since 1 January 2019 and since that date, detectives have arrested 15 offenders for committing one or more robberies and one person for assisting an offender to commit a robbery.
As part of the investigations, today SAPOL proactively targeted people of interest as well as locations believed to be connected with aggravated robberies and other serious offending. Detective Chief Inspector Denise Gray said that during today’s operation, compliance with bail, parole and home detention conditions were checked and numerous searches were conducted.
