Mitchel Evans has worked hard to become a firefighter but no amount of training prepared him for posing shirtless in a national calendar.
The Thirlmere product is just one of the buff firefighters taking part in the 2020 Australian Firefighters Calendar.
Mr Evans said he had his wife to thank for the topless gig.
"My wife dobbed me in to the organisers of the calendar," he said.
"I wasn't sure at first but the more I looked into it and found out what they do for charity, I saw it as another way to give back.
"The work the team behind the calendar does is amazing."
Mr Evans said nothing could have prepared him for the experience of his first shoot.
