Adelaide set to shiver through coldest maximum temp in 102 days

Some parts of Outback South Australia are enjoying their wettest day in more than a year, while Adelaide is shivering through its coldest day since December 13.

That was 102 days ago, when the mercury reached only 16.5C. Since then, there hasn’t been a single day that has stayed below 20C.

This makes today the second-wettest day of the year for the CBD, but the hills received a much larger drink.

11mm in total has been recorded at Aldgate and Coromandel East, while 8mm has fallen in Belair.

A wind gust of 52 km/h was recorded in the CBD about 12.15am, while Mt Crawford endured wind speeds of up to 82 km/h about 12.45am.
