Adelaide temperatures to rise to mid 30s on Wednesday and Thursday

TEMPERATURES are expected to soar to 36C in Adelaide on Thursday – about 12C above average – and the beach will be the best place to beat the heat.

The Bureau of Meteorology is predicting a top of 33C on Wednesday ahead of Thursday’s scorcher, before a cool change drops the expected maximum temperature to 26C on Friday.

Senior meteorologist Brett Gage said freshening northerly winds were responsible for what is expected to be the hottest day so far this spring.
